New websites
Every day we are given the opportunity to contribute to the success of local businesses with websites and print advertising. Our success is dependent on the success of the businesses we work with. Here are a few new websites we have designed lately:
Fairview Mountain Golf and Country Club
Not only have we redesigned the website, but we also design menus for the clubhouse restaurant, tournament posters, and print ads for the golf course. Fairview Mountain is one of the TOP 100 golf courses in Canada offering high end dining experiences for lunch, dinner and banquets!
We are very pleased with the way our site came out as I
felt the staff at Shadowfax fully understood the original vision I had
brought to them with regards of how I wanted our site to represent our
brand, enhance our clubs image, and how we wanted the site function for our
members and customers. We have had a great deal of positive feedback on our
site and we have seen a big increase in our site traffic.

Around the Office
Congratulations Dale! Dale got married on June 13th to the lovely Trina Carpenter, now Trina Anderson, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Leir House in Penticton. Shadowfax client, David Szabo supplied beautiful wedding photography for this very special occasion.
Also, our Marketing Director, Erin Moubray will be leaving for a brief period for her maternity leave near the end of July. We'll certainly miss Erin while she is gone, but we all cannot wait to meet the newest addition to her family!
Our lead designer Amy Pronovost will be leaving us to return to Ontario to be closer to her family. We wish her the very best luck and happiness! Thank you Amy for four great years of beautiful design and great teamwork!
I guess it's no surprise that we have a new lead designer joining our team this month! We would like to welcome Charmaine Ryn as our new head designer at Shadowfax Communications. Charmaine is incredibly talented and we are all very eager to see what kind of fresh ideas and creativity she will bring to her position!

Image Resolution and You!
Quality photography is part of creating an overall impression of professionalism in your marketing. Be it an inviting photo of your storefront, a view from your patio, an enticing meal fresh from your kitchen, you'll want that picture to speak a thousand words!
Here are some tips!
1) If taking your own photos, set your camera to the highest quality, and biggest image. We can always make a big photo smaller, but we can’t make a small photo bigger without quality loss. Always keep your original files if you resize them.
2) For images that you want cropped out – such as product shots or people – photograph them on a contrasting or white background so we can save time cropping them out.
3) If you’re unsure if an image is suitable, please send it to us and ask! We will let you know if it’s good for our needs or if you need to send us something larger.
